The manual is the first attempt in Georgia to put together comprehensive information and precise instructions about the hazelnut production process from setting up a plantation to harvesting, storage and processing. Additionally, it provides the guidance to local farmers in establishing and managing agriculture businesses.

The manual has been compiled by a group of national experts with assistance from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Swiss Cooperation Office in the South Caucasus.
