This report assesses pastures in Vashlovani National Park conducted for the joint EU-UNDP project: Clima East: Sustainable Management of Pastures in Georgia. The project aims at identifying the most degraded sections of the park and classifying pastures according to their current status; proposing rehabilitation/management measures for priority sections, identifying potential alternative pastures outside VNP and proposing relevant recommendations.

The assessment relies on existing information combined with new field data; using ground data, GIS technology and Landsat TM imagery 2010, a primary model of pastures in Vashlovani was developed.
