The election media monitoring was undertaken in August - November 2017, by the Georgian research agency, CRRC - Georgia, supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Government of Sweden.

With the focus on gender equality and gender-sensitive reporting, the monitoring examined news and talk-shows aired by eight Georgian televisions during the 2017 Local Self-Governance Elections.
