What Georgians know about climate change
Georgians see climate change as a top-three challenge for humanity, ranking it right after poverty and infectious diseases. The majority of Georgia's population is convinced that people can make a difference in combatting the climate crisis. However, only small shares of the public say they consider the environmental impact when buying cars or appliances or choosing how to heat their homes.

More than half of all Georgians – 63 percent of women and 54 percent of men – think Georgia has yet to achieve meaningful gender equality. 60 percent are confident that greater involvement of women in politics would benefit their country. But 59 percent of men and 38 percent of women still believe that women’s main duty is to take care of their families.
How to accelerate progress towards the SDGs?
93 percent of SDG targets are reflected in Georgia's national strategies. To accelerate progress towards the SDGs, the country identified four priority areas that are currently “bottlenecks” for development: reducing disparities between rural and urban areas; creating employment opportunities for youth; overcoming gender gaps and other inequalities; and developing green energy.
